Progress towards a commissioning date in mid-November remains on course.  Enercon’s foundation contractor R J McLeod has now completed excavation of the foundation pit, with steel construction for the concrete plinth currently under way.  A transport dummy run has been successfully carried out using a full-length articulated vehicle to simulate the longest load delivery, with arrival via Port Ellen.  Excavation of the cable trench for the SSE grid connection is due to begin early next week, and should be completed by 17/10.
