Much of the summer has been taken up with site preparation work, starting with widening and strengthening the access track to the site to take the large, heavy trucks which will be delivering the turbine.

As of mid June, the contractors, W&M Currie, are making good progress upgrading the track from the High Road to the turbine site. The track is being widened in some places to accommodate the very long (21 m) delivery vehicles, and the track-side drainage is also being improved.
